Hello everyone!
I am happy to announce the victory at the 24 Hours of Nürburgring 2023 in the SP3T class, it was a great team effort with my fellow drivers Emir Asari, Max Partl, Matthias Wasel and the Team Max Kruse Racing!!
It's really hard to find the words to express my feelings, it's a great result for all of us and I am very proud to have been part of this amazing team effort.
Talking about race week, it was perfect! At the end of the three qualifying sessions we were second in class, so we secured a good starting position for Saturday's race.
We managed to get a great start, quickly reaching first place in the class, and then started together to create a good gap from the other teams behind us. It was very special for me to drive at sunset and then during the night, the smell of barbecue, the fireworks, the lights of the rides and the campfires all around the track made the moment even more magical. The fans here are the best and they are all true motorsport enthusiasts.
Everything went well during the night and even on Sunday the car had no problems. Both the team and the drivers made no mistakes. I was given the honor of doing the last stint and crossing the checkered flag, a great emotion to see it after what was for me the most mentally difficult stint.
Crossing the finish line as a winner in my first participation in the toughest race in the world is something crazy.
I don't know if I have yet realized what we have achieved, I really have to thank the whole Max Kruse Racing family from the bottom of my heart for the warm welcome and their impeccable work during the week. Also my teammates who helped me a lot to improve and gave me valuable advice as well as so much support, it was my first time with this car, in this very special race on such a difficult track. I must thank once again Benjamin Leuchter for his trust and for the opportunity he gave me to race in the 24H even though I had no experience.
Finally, I would like to thank all my partners who helped me build this project, allowing me to realize a great dream, starting with Synoptic, Eze my city, Les Grands Chais Monégasques, Botti Food Service, La Scuderia Tazio Nuvolari and of course my ever-present Family.
Thank you so much for everything!
Driving in front of more than 235,000 fans on the most beautiful track in the world is something I will never forget.
As for my racing schedule, I don't have anything confirmed for this year yet, my studies are my main goal, but I hope to be back on track as soon as possible and I will update you if the opportunity to race again in 2023 comes up!
