The Main Event of the season with the first edition of the 12 Hours of Nordschleife (12 Stunden Nürburgring) was synonymous with success for me and my Team.
We finished the race in second place in our class, which means I achieved my first podium on the most difficult track in the world, in the most challenging championship and in the longest and most complex race of the season.
The race was absolutely unpredictable, I took the start and we chose to begin with rain tires given the uncertain weather. During the formation lap it started to rain heavily and our choice proved to be the winning one, I moved up from 5th to 2nd place and did a double stint in difficult conditions, as the weather literally changed every 10 minutes. We took the checkered flag of the first part of the race in second place and on Sunday we managed to hold the position, stepping onto the second step of the podium.
